Paul Max , born in Algiers in 1884, naturalized Belgian and died in Brussels in 1944 , is a Belgian journalist and writer, author of several crime novels often with amusing characters. As a writer for L'Étoile Belge and for the literary magazine Demain , he started a career as a playwright and novelist from 1913 onwards. He signed a work under the pseudonym MA Hychx.
